The Plot to Kill Google

At this point I'm just poaching links as examples of how complex this situation has gotten. In the future I'll have more thoughtful content, though I don't intend to stop posting links to relevant stories.

Please read the following:
The Plot to Kill Google [wired]

The playing field is no longer simple. The one thing google still holds over its competition is its only ideal, which the company applies to itself only and not others: "Google's code of conduct can be boiled down to a mere three words: Don't be evil." (Google vs. Evil [wired]).

It's nice to see a company hold an ideal so noteworthy and actually understand the complexity of its message, despite how simple it is. It's also nice to see a company not hold its ideals to other private interests. Did I say nice? Refreshing maybe, even though it's been ten years+
